St. Louis, MO – Beckwood Press Company, a leading manufacturer of custom hydraulic presses, automation systems, and the Triform line of precision forming equipment, is proud to announce that their Corporate Marketing Manager, Christie Williams, has been named a Woman of Excellence in Metalforming and Fabricating by Metalforming Magazine. This prestigious honor is awarded annually to 18-20 women who have distinguished themselves for their on-the-job accomplishments and continuous commitment to manufacturing.
Ms. Williams was chosen from a pool of 100+ nominees for her leadership skills and passion for manufacturing. During her tenure at Beckwood, she has developed a strategy for, and executed, the rebranding of both the Beckwood and Triform line of presses. From organizing consistent messaging across diverse communication channels to designing sales literature and marketing collateral, her efforts have significantly elevated Beckwood’s brand image within the industry. Additionally, her role in redesigning Beckwood’s website in 2016 was crucial to improving user experience.
Christie is also responsible for managing Beckwood’s presence at manufacturing trade shows, including FABTECH. She recently earned Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) accreditation, which is recognized as the most prestigious certification in the trade show and corporate event industry. She was also named a “Champion of PR” by PR Week magazine in 2017 because of her design and communication skills, as well as her leadership in the custom equipment manufacturing industry.
As a mentor and leader at Beckwood, Christie is committed to fostering a healthy work culture. Identifying an opportunity for team building and community involvement, she co-founded the “Employee Engagement Committee” in 2017. Since its inception, this committee has organized monthly events including: Employee Appreciation Day, summer ice cream social, annual chili cookoff as well as philanthropic efforts like the International Women’s Day luncheon and volunteer initiative, paper and electronics recycling event, book drive benefiting Operation Paperback, and holiday toy drive.
“Christie’s reputation precedes her as a thought-leader in the company, metalforming industry, and marketing community,” said Josh Dixon, Beckwood’s director of sales & marketing. “I have witnessed the way she challenges herself by setting high standards and subsequently achieving them. Never satisfied with the status quo, she continues to redefine how marketing is perceived and executed in the metalforming industry.”
